Whether you’re a seasoned paddler, just getting started, or want to spend some time on the still waters of Lake Julian, grab some friends and head to Paddlefest. Try out the latest stand up paddleboards, whitewater kayaks, fishing kayaks, and recreational flat water boats for free. (Download your liability waiver HERE.) You’ll also have a chance to chat with industry experts about paddles, boating accessories, and the best spots in the region to get on the water this year. We’ll have PFDs for adults and kids, but if you bring your own, there will be far less time spent waiting.
In addition to fun on the water, enjoy some music, watch on-the-water skills demonstrations, learn outdoor skills at workshops and clinics, and play the newly-expanded disc golf course. Paddlefest has been moved to the beach behind Wild Wing Cafe, bringing music, fun, and fun times even closer to the action on the water.
Who’ll Be There
This free event is made possible by a partnership with our friends at Buncombe County Recreation Services. Kids and well-behaved pets with owner on leash are welcome.
