We’re hitting the water of Lake Julian Park the fourth Friday of every month through August this summer. Unwind at the end of the work week and learn how much fun it is to get on the water. The final date is August 24.

If you’ve wanted to start your kayak adventures, but aren’t sure of where to begin, this is a perfect starting point. Our paddling experts will give about an hour of thorough skills instruction followed by a paddle around the lake.

Advance registration is required. $10 covers your kayak rental, PFD (personal floatation device/life jacket), paddle, and instruction. Want to spend more time in your kayak? For another $10, you can keep the rental for another 24 hours. If you are interested in a particular kayak model, please call (828) 684-6262 or stop by our store on 1378 Hendersonville Road to reserve a specific kayak.

This event is made possible by a partnership with our friends at Wild Wing Cafe and Buncombe County Recreation Services. Kids and well-behaved pets with owner on leash are welcome.
