DESCRIPTION:Each month\, we donate 10% of a day’s sales to support a local nonprofit’s work. This month\, shop on Tuesday\, May 16\, to support the Daniel Boone Council of the Boy Scouts of America. \nCall it civic pride or mountain spirit\, but we think supporting the work of those maintaining trails\, cleaning waterways\, connecting youth to outdoors\, and doing other awesome things to keep WNC a place we can all enjoy…well\, it’s the right thing to do. As the area’s first outdoor store\, we’ve enjoyed the support of our friends and neighbors since 1964. \nScouting provides youth with an opportunity to try new things\, provide service to others\, build self-confidence\, and reinforce ethical standards. These opportunities not only help them when they are young but also carry forward into their adult lives\, improving their relationships\, their work lives\, their family lives\, and the values by which they live. \nRSVP on Facebook \n
