DESCRIPTION:ATTENTION: This class has been rescheduled from January 18. \nOver the years\, we’ve had several team members thru-hike the Appalachian Trail\, the nearly 2\,200 miles long hike from Georgia to Maine. Two more are looking to become thru-hikers this year by hiking the entire trail in a single season. Join Dylan as he shares what to expect from the A.T. — and what it expects of you. \nThe clinic will cover all aspects of planning a long-distance hike on the A.T.\, from essential gear to the diversity of the Trail experience. Participants are encouraged to find their own personal approach to hiking the Trail while also being well-prepared\, responsible hikers. Learn about setting expectations\, safety\, permits and management\, alternate routes\, and more. \nRSVP on Facebook \nKids and well-behaved pets with owner on leash are welcome at this free event. \n
